Liu Ting
Her works of art show her deep understanding and love for nature and human beings and reveal a unique sensitivity to time space and life in her heart between the density of brush operation and the collocation of cold and warm colors, which is very expressive. In particular, her recent works in ethnic minority areas on the border between China and Myanmar are rich and bold, not only depicting objects in form but also capturing their true charm and expressing the essence of things in the inner spirit. Although her expression technique has the shadow of Western art, it also exudes the local characteristics of the nation. This integration makes her works not only have a worldwide style but also retain the unique connotation of local culture.
Liu Ting was born in Jiangnan and now lives in Yunnan. As a professor at Dehong Teachers College, she not only pursues academically but also constantly breaks through herself in artistic creation. Liu Ting's works have been widely exhibited around the world and won numerous awards . She once held a solo exhibition at the Chelsea Art Gallery in Manhattan, New York, and was highly praised by Mary Hrbacek, a member of AICA, the International Association of Art Critics. Her works have been collected by art collectors in China, Japan, Singapore, the U.S., Germany, Swiss, Poland, Belgium, Russia, and Australia, which shows her position in the international art market.
