Magdalena Kleszyńska
Born 1985. Work at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań, Poland, department of Art Education and Curatorial Studies. In 2017 received a PhD degree at the Faculty of Sculpture. Since 2013 has been working at her alma mater in the 2nd Painting Studio, since 2024 as a Head of the Painting Studio. Participated in national, international, group and solo exhibitions, for example: Centro de Arte Contemporânea Graça Morais, Bragança, Portugal; Museo dell'Arte Fabbrile e delle Coltellerie, Maniago, Italy; Central Textile Museum in Lodz, Centro Art Complutense - C art C, University of Madrid-UCM, Madrid, Spain.
Participated in art-residency programs: The Swatch Art Peace Hotel, Shanghai, China; Centre artistique et culturel de la Ferme-Asile, Sion, Switzerland; Cortex Frontal, Arraiolos, Portugal; Contemporary Art Center Graça Morais, Bragança, Portugal; 5th edition of Contemporary Textile Art Biennial, Guimarães, Portugal; V International Textile and Fiber Art Symposium, Daugavpils Mark Rothko Art Centre, Daugavpils, Latvia. In her work she explores issues related to time, transience, cyclicality and memories. Since 2013 has been organized, co-organized, lead and co-lead over 50 national and international artistic workshops, lectures, open lectures.
