“At different stages of life, my state of mind has been constantly evolving. I am fond of fluffy objects, soft and warm. Although the medium chosen for this exhibition differs from my previous works, my mindset ultimately follows a singular direction. In this desolate world, we continuously encounter various trials and discover new, beautiful landscapes. When we are in adversity, please look up more often and remember that there will always be a ray of light shining on us, guiding us forward. Likewise, when we are in good times, please walk this land with a peaceful and humble heart.”

Shi Gaoqing, born in 1982 in Dazhou, Sichuan Province, China, graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Chengdu in 2006, and currently resides in Chengdu.

The artist believes that different colors each have their own voice, and our moods change with the layering of these colors. These 'voices' construct the world we touch and form a rhythmic symphony that resonates with the heart, their collision and combination possessing great energy. Through the use of vibrant colors and exaggerated shapes, the artist presents a visual feast. The series "Rainbow Waterfalls," "The Living Mountains," and "In the Bamboo Grove," establish beauty in contradictions and conflicts, presenting an inherent, upward-moving constant order within the diverse, overlapping, and reconstructed images.
