Liao Yang

His works are collected by the National Art Museum of China, China Art Museum, Shanghai Liu Haisu Art Museum, Shanghai Library, Zhejiang Art Museum, Guiyang Art Museum, Heilongjiang Art Museum, Shenzhen Art Academy, Hubei Art Museum, Chongqing Art Museum, and Inner Mongolia Art Museum. Liao Yang's works of art not only express the mundane and ordinary life in the market, but also observe and think about the impact brought by the rapid development of contemporary society, and question the nature of the needs of the current human spiritual life.

Liao Yang, born in Nanchang, Jiangxi in 1983, graduated from Shanghai University Academy of Fine Arts in 2005, majoring in printmaking. Now he is a member of China Artists Association, a director of Shanghai Artists Association, and a member of Shanghai Printmaking Art Committee. His works have been included in national art exhibitions for six consecutive times. "Stories in the Lane" and "Where are the Parents?" won the Silver Award of the 11th National Art Exhibition and the Excellent Beijing Award of the 12th National Art Exhibition. "8:60AM in Shanghai" and "The Late Bus" won the Outstanding Works Award at the 17th and 20th National Edition Exhibition respectively.
